Does anyone know if it normal for a child with Bipolar and ADHD to only show his agressive behaivor ( hitting, shoving, profanity, ect.)at home and not at school. He did at one point a few years but the agressive part was just starting up. He has been on all new meds and seeing a new therapist since then. The problem is now that he is in junior high and they don't see the agreesive side just other behaviors like sleepiness, lack of concentration, easily distracted, rather play than work, ect. The school is impling that it's just a problem between parent and child. He is agressive out in public with us exspecially if he doesn't bet his way. We ar talking going from A ok to telling him to wait a few minuts or not know, for something to him being in a full rage over it. He is 12 and should be past the stage of childish temper tantrumes in public if it wasn't Bipolar. He was diagnosed this by three different doctors.

It could be that he takes his anger out in different ways at school or he is more controlled because of the consequences. I know I did a lot of mean thing when I was in school but I never got caught by the teachers. If a kid was going to tell on me I would appoligize and convine the kid not to tell. So it might just be that the teachers and admin. don't see his aggressive behavior.
