Alone again tonight. My husband is tired when he comes in from work, goes to sleep almost immediately but I can't wind down. Guess I slept too much today. I can't stay awake during the day, I can't sleep at night. I really don't want to. I have really been jittery and restless lately. Can't keep my mind on anything for very long. What is this? I'm getting tired of it.

This is called mania!
I deal with this type of mania daily. I can't sleep at night and am drowsy through the day, sometimes I don't need to sleep. But its a terrible, alienating feeling when you are alone and cannot fall asleep like everyone around you. If you like to read, lay in the dark with a flashlight and your eyes might get tired faster. I've been told that there are some special teas out there that have herbs that will help calm and sooth you. I don't suggest sleep aid medication because you may easily become dependant on it. If you are on medication for your disorder, speak to your doctor about your sleeping problems. If you haven't seen a doctor yet, I suggest you go to one as soon as you can.. and if you can't afford it, I suggest going to the welfare office for medical insurance. I hope you can sleep tonight. I'm hopeing I can too. Goodluck.

Hi fharper6
Good to see ya around! Have you been to see a doctor to have your symptoms assessed and obtain a possible diagnosis? I'm sorry you are having such mixed up days and nights; I did before also. If it is a mental health symptom, perhaps the right treatment can make things easier for you! Wishing you luck and keep us informed, if you want to!! Take care, Dee
