I have taken many online tests for being bopolar and they have all come up high. I was wondering if there is anything I can do for this other than phyc.meds. I dont have insurance that covers it. Anyone have any suggestions?

Look in your Yellow Pages under "mental health" or "counseling" for free or low-cost clinics, or therapists who work on a sliding scale. If there is a major university in your town, oftentimes the psychology dept. will run a community clinic as well.

Also, depending on income, you can get meds for free through this program, pparx.org . You will need to see a dr. to get them prescribed, though.

Good luck.

There are programs out there where you can get free help and meds. alot of people with bipolar when it gets very bad cant work and may be homeless. But be warn there are some very very sick people there you may not feel that you fit in at first and be scared off. They are the best places to get help doctor have seen the worst cases of mental illness and know how to treat it and what meds. work the best. Bipolar is like any illness if you let it go it will just get worst and harder to live with .
