((sabby & Larz))), i am so sorry i did not post earlier i just read it today. i am so glad that Larz is out of the hospital and is responding well to the medication. i can imagine how difficult the situation is for all of you. i was so amazed that Larz is able to recognize that he needs help. he seems to be rather mature for his age despite the problems he is facing, and i think that is a positive sign for his future. best wishes to you and your family.

I also just read this today. I'm really glad that Larz is doing better than he was. Also very glad that his first day of school went well, and that you think this new guy will be good with him. He does seem very mature in recognizing that he needs help. I hope that things continue to go well.

((((((((((((agony))))))))))))))) No worries hon...thanks so much for responding!

Larz had a breakdown at school yesterday. 9yr old grandson hospitalized again :( He was very unsafe and put other kids and the teacher in danger. He overreacted to having to be put on the bus for the Boys and Girls club and threw chairs and desks around because he didn't want to go. I think it was a combination of his overreaction, the first week of school and the teachers not quite knowing how to handle the situation. I think some tweaking will be done this next week after the holiday. On a good note, his first 2 days of school and before this outburst he had done wonderfully!

Larz is a very insightful kid. Very compassionate and caring as well. This is make a huge world of difference for him as he grows. Many children with his disorders don't have the compassionate side to them so it makes life extremely difficult.

Onward and upward.... 9yr old grandson hospitalized again :(

Thank you (((((((( xylia ))))))))))))

I have a lot of hope for Larz and his life. I know there will be lots of ups and downs but his mum is a great advocate for him and getting him the help he needs. And of course his aunty and I are there to support as well. He is surrounded by love and that can make all the difference in the world!

Now, if we can only get him back to sleeping the way he used to. He's not able to wind down and fall asleep like he did before the med change. This will need some tweaking as well I think.

i am sorry that he had a meltdown. i am sure that it was the combination of all those things. and it takes time for the meds to really take effect. with lithuim, they can increase the dosage depending on his needs. i'm sure everything will even out as soon as everything gets to working the way it should. i hope he can get some good sleep soon, that can also attribute to his outburst keep us posted.

Thank you so much (((((((((( agony )))))))))) We're working on some calming techniques before he goes to bed at night. So far, it has cut down on the amount of time it takes him to settle down and stop getting up and complaining and stomping and having his fits. He's down to getting up once and it only lasting about 2-3 minutes. Before it would go on for 1-2 hours *sigh*. We're getting there

My son also hates and recognizes when he lashes out. He says to me through tears "Mommy, why am I like this?". It just breaks my heart. His 1st week at school was horrible, he was bullied on the bus once. Then to make things worse, the substitute bus driver forgot to pick him up in the morning.
