I was having super manic problems and not sleeping with 5mg of Abilify. My pdoc told me to cut them in half. Sure no prob!! There is one problem though. I'm already cutting the 10mg in half and now in qrtrs. I have chopped quite a few pills to nothing but dust so those can do me no good. So far it hasn't helped me so what's the point. Ugghh I'm calling him back today. I don't want to go off it cause the energy level I have is awesome and it is helping my irritability. I don't see why he can't just call in something for me to sleep and help me focus. I'll keep yall informed on what he says.

Hi CrazyTinkerBell,

Welcome to PC! Sounds like a good idea to call your Pdoc back, maybe some more adjustments or additional medication can be added.

Good luck and keep us updated

Thanks Dee. I'm scared that he'll want to take me off the Abilify. I'm just going to tell him I don't want to be off it and that maybe something can be added for my lack of focus. I already have problems with concentration before hand(possibly ADD my therapist says). I just don't want to go through med swap again.
