Yes there meds. that wont turn you into a zombie,or an uncreative person even meds you have been on if you took less of a dose. Now all this depends on what your illness then research the side effects on the meds for that illness .Plus doc. have a way of over medicating the mentally ill out of site out mind. I now too many people that way But some people like being a zombie that way they dont have to face life . Its alot harder to treat some one who wants to walk that thin line of living with there mental illness for thats because we make many more mistakes but isnt that how you learn .It can be done but its a lot of work.

Hang in there. It can take a long time to get it just right.

I was on Lamictal for a year when I was first DX'd. It worked well for me. Didn't turn me into a zombie and I was able to focus better. I'm not on Abilify due to no more samples of Lamictal and no health ins to even afford the generic. I love the level of energy I have with Abilify and it helps with my irritability. All meds work different with everyone. It's all about getting the right one and the right dosage. Hope you can get on something that makes you feel better and that your're comfortable taking. Good Luck

Hi 3eyesof wisdom,

Welcome to PC! As everyone else so eloquently stated, there are so many meds out there that might work for you. Please talk to your Pdoc asap as see if he/she can help you!

Good luck and keep us updated if you want!
