There is an interview with the author in Bipolar magazine. She feels, a tremendous responsibility to tell the story of mental illness, and tell it right, represent all of us right, as many moviemakers interview her now when they begin to write screenplays about mental illness.

I bought the book to read over the summer, but I've yet to finish it. I really liked it though. I really related to the author. We are about the same age and did alot of the same crazy things. She also had an eating disorder, too, like me. She even wrote a book on that too, called Wasted.
I recommend Madness: A bipolar Life.
