Well I am coming up on my 5 year milestone since my first major episode and diagnosis of BP1. It happened at work and a few months after the event I returned to work and wondered how it would be 5 years later. Still bothered by the event and I have been moved to a position of less responsibility(like ability to cause major problems is less) after my second episode which wasn't at work but landed me in the hospital again. I am of course worried about my job in this economy.
Anyway, I am still working, thats positive.

I wanted to welcome you to PC!

Also that is great that you are able to work. Keep the positive attitude and that will help.

don't worry about your job. what you have is considered to be an illness and they can't just let you go cause you had an episode. sounds like they are supportive too since you are still there. hang in there...and congrats on being able to work...that keeps you in the mainstream of life....
