I'm really finding it hard to keep on top of all of my work from sixth form. I'm taking anti-depressants, which are helping me to function better than I was, but they're not regulating my moods well enough that I can always do work, or go to lessons. It doesn't help that I don't have anyone to talk to in lessons, and some of them are over an hour long- so they just make me feel worse if I'm already feeling down. Also, there is no way I can sit in a lesson when my moods go to high, as I simply can't concentrate or sit still.

My teachers are being unsympathetic. I'm seeing my Pdoc on monday, and I'm going to ask if she thinks a change of meds might help at all, but even so, it would be a while before they worked, and anything improved. Until then, I can't see this situation getting much better. I know I should probably try and explain everything to my teachers, but I really can't think of how to do that, or believe that they would understand at all.

If they ask, why not tell? Certainly something like "Lithium is making my brain very foggy/neurons a block apart each" would help them to understand, no?

I'm so proud of you. Doing 'A' levels is hard work. Share with your teachers if you want to help them understand. They may be able to help you in return. Go easy on yourself, you are doing what you can.

I'm going to try and get myself to share with them. They wouldn't ask though, and I'm not sure if they'd listen properly, but I know I need to try.

It's just that feeling able to tell someone who isn't sympathetic at all is hard.
