Hi there.

So, I have Emotional Dysregulation, which I believe is another term for Borderline Personality Disorder.

It's awful. It's incredibly challenging. I can relate to most, if not all, the symptoms and signs of this disorder. I was told I have Emotional Dysregulation by a psychiatrist. I'm not entirely shocked though.

So, yeah. Hello.

Hey Pupp, welcome!!! has you T been a bit more forth coming in your dx? How are they prepared to treat it?

I haven' read much about it, but this term can be associated to more than BPD. Not to get hung up on labels but you need more information from a treatment perspective. You probably know this already but I will supply a link for others to read.

It is nice to have you here.......I hope you are getting the help you need.....let us know how you are going.

In stillness........

I have seen that Emotional Dysregulation Disorder, in the UK, is another label for BPD. Either way, I match up to most of the symptoms of BPD and it impacts my life quite severely. I no longer see any mental health professionals, I dropped out on it. I've been seeing them since I was 7, I've just gotten worse. They are no help.

hey pupp,
this thread caught my eye, because it is something i have (at times) which is related to me having c-ptsd. if there has been trauma in your life, then apparently emotional dysregulation is easier to treat from a trauma model than the bpd model. not sure if this is any help to you - just thought i'd throw it out there .
Thanks for this!

Well, in the UK, Emotional Dysregulation Disorder is another term for BPD. I match up to BPD quite perfectly.
