I have had it! I cant seem to do my job right. My manager emailed me saying," we have been over this time after time, and time is running out." I might as well quit. I hate my fng job! It is so easy too. I am not sure why I cant get it right. I have no idea what I am gonna do if I do lose it. I have a mortgage and 2 kids to support. I guess Dad can take the kids and I can lose the house and live in an apartment. I am so consumed with thinking that I am going to be fired that i cant think straight. the last time this happened I was fired. I might as well start papers for permanent disabilty. I cant take another word of critizism!!!!! Those of you that do work how do you get by? I cant seem to do it! Help. Please.

just2b, being 'consumed with being fired' feels awful, I know. It also can interfere with your focusing on your work. It is very hard to let go of the thought, and it's scary too. But it tends to get scarier and scarier and more and more interfering if it gets hung on to. I am not criticising or judging, as I just went through something so similar. An 'emergency' session with my therapist helped, and facing what I was trying to avoid helped too.

I wish you some peace of mind and much success on your job. I know you can do it!

I think a good idea would be to use some self soothe skills or emotion regulation to help what you are feeling in the Now. Do you know DBT skills? If you do what skills have you tried so far?
