Years ago i was dx with bpd and still fit the criteria. But i was just in the hospital and the dr doesnt believe in bpd. Im a cutter and becaquse of the persistant thoughts of cutting he dx me with ocd. I have no rituals just thoughts of cutting. Not that it makes a big deal but i just thought id ask in case anyone had some ideas. Ive been in therapy since 9/09 and been in hte hospital 5 times. I just cant seem to get a handle on things. My depresssion has taken over and everyday is a fight just to get up.im on a whole bunch of pills for different reasons.nothing seems to help.
Thanks for this!

The therapist's answer here says a lot that is sort of related to your situation? Rituals would be obsessions and it sounds like you have a compulsion to cut; one has either one or the other (obsessions or compulsions) not both usually.
