When I was young my mom was into drinking and going out with friends and on drugs too...Then when mom stopped my dad became an alcoholic. But then when I was a teen my dad raped me and my mom would not support me...My parents were divorced at this time but she told me it would be between me and my dad...My question is could this have been what developed BPD???? Not sure just thought I would see what you all thought..

I think BPD can be set off by trauma in childhood (it does say something about it in the diagnosis criteria I think), so this definitely sounds like your early home life had a big impact on you and has understandably caused you many issues.
Do you have somebody, a therapist, who you can talk to about all of this? It's a lot to be carrying around with you.

No one really has the knowledge of you to answer that.

However they do say that childhood trauma as said above, can cause BPD. So I would say that what you went through had a massive impact on you.

I think you should invest some time with a therapist or someone, sounds like you need to talk a lot of thigns through. Which is hard, but can always be the right way towards recovery.
