Does anyone think Casey Anthony might be BPD? Do you think she is telling the truth when she says he Dad molested her as a child and she has spent her life covering up for him? That being the case, when her daughter died in the pool with her Dad, it as natural to cover that up too?

Let me know what you think. She is being called a psychopath in the news, but that is not what I see. What do you see?

Not sure if i believe the child abuse thing or not.. but leaning towards no. Thinking that is just a drastic excuse to try to get her off that hook.but guess maybe i could be wrong.. stranger things have happened.

I think she didnt want the burden of a daughter. she researched home made chloroform 84 times on her home computer and they found caylee's remain's with duct tape around her mouth/head 3 times! why would anyone do that if she child had alread died of drowning??
then her out partying for 31 days before reporting caylee missing is disturbing.. then 2 wk after caylee is missing she get a tattoo that translate into "good life" or "beautiful life"
who does that?? i mean if our daughter was missing wed report it no later than the very next day.. cause we d spend all night calling ppl and driving and looking.. and i damned sure would not be soo..happy? as to go get a ttattoo saying something like that if fact id be thinking the oppisite.. id be thinking how horrible life was.

it just doesnt add up.. i think she is a guilty muderer.

I agree that her behavior does seem unusual hen taken at face value. But when you take into account the she was more than 7 months pregnant before her fmily would admit the obvious changes in her body were due to pregnancy and the history of other addictive and denying behavior in the family, the girl's lying and pretending life is good, makes perfect sense. The partying and covering up could be explained by her need to make everything appear to be a "beautiful life."

Or not. Maybe she realy is just an uncaring woman who got rid of her child out of convenience. I dont know, but I can see it both ways. That is why I wanted to open this discussion with others who have lived through this type of family dynamic.

Thanks for responding.

I dunno about the BPD thing. I mean, I'm a parent, have BPD, PPD, Anxiety etc and I haven't murdered either of my kids - nor tried.

I haven't done much on the way of research regarding this case but I just think she didn't want the responsibility of being a parent and the kid got in the way of her partying lifestyle.

No, I think she is a sociopath or a psychopath.

Wow, I certainly don't feel bad for her. My feeling is that she killed her little daughter...I don't particularily believe in the death penalty, but for her I feel its appropriate.

she exhibits borderline traits in my opinion, but i'm going to agree with the sociopath diagnosis too. i don't think george anthony had anything to do with caylee's death, and honestly, i don't believe she was sexually abused either. i could be wrong but i just don't see an abuse survivor allowing their molester to potty train or ever be alone with their young child. nor would i expect a survivor to call their abuser "the best dad" the way Casey did on those jailhouse tapes. sorry for the rant, i live in orlando so i'm obsessed.

I'm with Flooded. I have a mental illness, and I haven't murdered my children or anyone else. I'm sick of people using mental illness as an excuse. For those of us who are trying to demonstrate that mental illness does NOT mean we are monsters, and that we can be competent, productive citizens and good, safe parents, it doesn't help our case to have someone commit a horrific act and then try to excuse it on the grounds of mental illness. I don't have any more sympathy for Casey Anthony than I do for that Susan V. Smith woman, who strapped her babies in their car seats and pushed the car down a boat ramp, just because her boyfriend didn't want children, and then tried to claim depression so she wouldn't be held responsible for what she did.

Mental illness or not, as long as we are aware of what we are doing and can tell right from wrong, we still have to face the consequences when we commit a crime. Especially one so horrible as the harm of an innocent child. (And for anyone not aware of what they are doing, who cannot tell right from wrong, then the public needs to be protected from them, and they need to be protected from themselves. They should be in a safe, secure, locked down facility.)

Casey Anthony is just playing, "If I go down, I'll take everyone I can with me." That's all.
Thanks for this!
