I take 2 tabs of Citalopram everyday to help control my anxiety (I suffer from pretty severe anxiety as well as BDP). I do think it helps level me out a bit but I still can't control my BPD to the extend I wish I could. I'm curious to know if others with BDP take any sort of meds? I don't think there's really a specific medication that can help with BDP but maybe there is and I'm not aware of it. Thanks in advance for sharing

Hey, I'm on Amitriptyline/Perphenazine.. aka Etrafon or Triavil (2-10).
I think it's an anti-depressant + anti-psychothic.
It does help! When for some reason i forget taking them (sometimes for like 4 days...) i always end up crazyyyyyyy!

Nothing regular. I use 1/8 to 1/4 of a .5mg dose of Xanax occaisionally, but not even once a week.

Therapy is my medication

I'm on 120mg (max dose) Cymbalta in the am, and 150mg Serequel XR 2 hours before bed... Been on the Cymbalta to treat Chronic Depression for the past 7 yrs, but am now dxd Bipolar 1 and BPD... I just started the Sereqel XR 2 weeks ago to "stabulize" my moods and it helped me sleep at first, but now I'm back to my old ways... Sleep 3-4 hours a night.. I hate it.. going to see pdoc about a change.

I'm on Klonopin 1 mg for anxiety (sometimes helps) and Lamictal 200 mg for mood. Lamictal has really helped stabalize my moods.

My doctor is just trying to combat the anxiety/panic right now, so I'm on Buspar 10mg, and Klodopin .05 mg...I've yet to see the results since I've just started to take it.

When I was first diagnosed with Depression (age 16) I was prescribed Wellbutrin XL 150 along with Abilify started at 5mg incresed till at 25mg, seroquel for sleeping, and an antipsychotic...When I was on all that I was "stabalized" but more of a zombie than anything else....

Over all I think combating the most serious of the conditions, like I am with anxiety, and therapy or recognizing when you freak out and trying to find out why, that's what I'm doing now.

I don't take meds anymore...I participate in a group program about 10 hours/week learning strategies, etc.
