Anyone else????

I can see where BPD was more intense years ago. I still have tendencies, but no longer "typical BPD". The diagnosis has now become PTSD. I am a bit confused and feel alone again.

I'm not in your exact situation, but I have been diagnosed with both PTSD and BPD. Also, for what it's worth my best friend used to be "full-blown BPD" and now she no longer qualifies for the BPD and now has the PTSD diagnosis alone. So, you're not the only one.

Hugs to you Shezbut!

I don't quiet understand --- I have heard some say they are no longer BPD however they still have tendencies-- I have also heard some say- I am not longer BPD but I have to tame myself....

To me this is still BPD but you have found Coping Methods to help you tremendously, It is like going on meds and finding coping skills.. I am confused on how the BPD just goes a way...

I am sorry to be confused... And I don't mean to offend anyone.

My T and Pdoc DX me as Bipolar2, Sever PTSD and BPD Traits--

So if I am lucky Hypothetically the Bipolar2 and PTSD will stay but the BPD would eventually go away with coping skills-- But yet the Bipolar2 could be managed with meds and therapy and the PTSD with therapy as well.... thus the same as BPD (manged with coping skills and perhaps meds).

I am sorry for your confusion Shezbut- I am not trying to put more on there, it just my confusion on how to not be labeled with such--- not that i entirely hate it, this due to it does explain a lot for me at least.....

Best wishes to you both Shezbut and Atypical Disaster

Does this mean you are getting better shezbut? That's what it sounds like.
