Well you will not believe how glad I am to find this forum website!! I have been doing alot of research lately on BPD and added some new friends with it on Face book and went on some facebook pages as well. I was diagnosed with BPD last year. But I beleive I've had it all my life. I was always a bit different.. Awkward.. Kinda Crazy.. Random Spaz attacks.. Anger for no reason... Emotional rollercoaster on a daily/hourly/minute basis. My mom thought I was Bipolar but the DR said because i go up and down so often that I have every single symptom for BPD. So here I am.. Learning more about myself...
A little about me. I am 26. I have 2 kids. 2 different fathers. I haven't had a relationship last longer then 2.5 months. My youngest was concieved on a one night.. One of many.. I hate being alone. I hate being lonely. I don't have alot of friends.. My family thinks Im nuts.. But still around.. I recently made a huge change and moved 9 hours away from my mother who has been my support for 7 years... I moved to her 7 years ago and moved back to where I grew up so I could gain control of my life. More opportunities here I guess.. Things are just starting to turn around now.. A bit more positive. Im on Paxil and Divalproex. If i dont take them Im a train reck. I def notice a difference. Since i moved provinces this province doesnt cover my drugs.. SO unless I get benifits through work soon I will be out in about 3 weeks.. Which is not good.. I am not doing therapy but have a family dr app end of feb to get a referal to see a pysciatrist here. I dont like taking time off work so I havent had time to sign up for the local DBT program.. I just dont want to jeprodize my job by taking time off for therapy. Does anyone else feel this way? If so what have you come up with? I think this website may help me with alot of things. Any how I just wanted to share my story! If anyone has feed back it would be great! Thanks! |

Welcome! Congrats on working on yourself and learning. I'm 34 with 5 kids. 3 of them are triplets. There's a book you can read called "get me out of here" http://www.amazon.com/Get-Out-Here-B...7509664&sr=8-1 It's a good book. I'm from Canada living in the US, and a citizen now. I was diagnosed a little over a year ago myself, and have completed my year of CBT things are much better now I must admit. I can now come on here, and help others, and also get reminders of myself...and see how far I've come! It's a wonderful site...I'm sure you'll like everyone here!!

Welcome Brittany. I've found this site to be really helpful and there are lots of good people here. Keep posting.
Sounds like you may be from Canada - that's where I'm from.
