Well I guess we need to make a new clan up....and get things moving...although I'm not as funny as the rest. LOL Cbox kept this place going some days. I guess we could start by trying to find some though provoking articles. The steamy ones tend to get the opinions flowing.

I think that it was ECOS that found a good one....I have to get with her and see where she finds them. The one she found was positive...I think most everyone here seems like a new dx...so I'd rather keep things light. What do you think?

I think a light yet thought-provoking article would be a great ice-breaker. And I'm not too sure but I think the new bloods are newly dxd yes, but I could be wrong...

That's kinda what it looks like to me. So if we can find some good stuff, and maybe pull up some of the old stuff it would help them, and then we wouldn't have to restate things over and over.

Sounds like a plan to me do you have an idea of what to start off with? Relationships always seem like the best bet, it's definitly a challenge we have in common regardless of who our partners are...

Well I don't know you, but for me, hmm what's been happening...Made a couple of new friends in real life, and they're local for a change too!

I've also now got a place for DBT group which starts 3rd July, so until then, I'm only seeing my individual therapist.

Oh and I've got a new care co-ordinator/community psychiatric nurse, who I'm to meet on the 24th May.

Hi guys. I've been wandering back here as the 'high' of a new relationship wears off and can no longer overpower the hopeless thoughts that occupy my brain most days. I am desperately trying not to let my various crises and issues destroy this one. He's a real sweetheart.

Hey y'all. I've been quiet lately, but still lurking around PC for interesting reads :grin2: The past couple months have been the best of my life. Phased out lots of human contact (a lifelong dream of mine) & got dx with another pd: schizoid. Who knew it was possible to be both borderline AND schizoid? Ha! I'll elaborate for anyone who's curious. Anyway good to see you back Forgive

Good to see you back too Doglover. Glad to see things are going well for you. And yes I'm curious about the BPD/Schizoid. Elaborate please.

Good to know you guys are all here!! I'm glad everyone is doing good. We all need to get on here more to help the newbies....a couple of months ago all of us were long in the tooth about our "stuff" ....so we could actually help here etc. Feels good.

That's wonderful! Good luck... I know it's hell to keep things steady and modulated. The more you feel/closer you get, the harder you have to fight to win those internal battles.

Thanks! And the closer I get the more I struggle with the question "Do I remove the mask or not?" I think perhaps it is best to keep some of the BPD stuff to myself. I'm a much more pleasant person to be around when I pretend I'm emotionally stable .

I think the same things, and they make me sad. But you're right. If we want our relationships to work, we have to hold back and not share all that we are. And pretend as best we can. "To show or not to show?" always ends up being THE question, I guess, doesn't it?

I apologize for the hiatus; very exhausted lately. Anyway, to put it in very, very simplified terms, I'm schizoid in my conscious decisions & desires, and BPD in my unconscious reactions, etc. My BPD attachment issues were almost completely satisfied by getting a puppy/dog. It seems all my attachments are to non-humans; thus enabling my schizoid bias towards humans. (at least this is the theory T & I have)

It's always nice when one is on the same page as their T. Kinda like...if the dx fits...then it's something tangible to work with and overcome. Anyway, thanks for the explanation...interesting theory.
