Am I the only one who does this?

If not, when and why do you usually binge eat?

I usually do it because I'm empty, bored, not so much comfort eating, but just to fill a 'hole' so to speak, like just waste some time.

Do you eat to the point of gaining weight? I always hear about those who starve or purge but do you feel that the BPD professional community doesn't consider over-eating as a real symptom? Isn't it also a form of self-destruction? Being overweight is a serious physical condition as well.

I did this half of today and now I feel all gross and dumb

I think I'm bored and anxious most of the time when I have this problem - seems to happen on non-work days when I don't have something fun to do. I'm not sure how comfort eating is different - how do you see that?

Nope I'm not overweight. I'm about average. I've been binge eating for a fair few years now since I developed BPD, and I'm really surprised that I have only put on about 1 stone.

I have sugar cravings and often when I am stressed, I will eat more sugary foods.

I binge too. I do it at night, usually when I am feeling empty. I've done it on occasion my whole life and kept my bmi at the underweight/average line.
My binging has gotten worse since I had my one year old daughter. I am now on the overweight/obese line because my binging has kept me from losing a pound of the baby weight.

Ugh.
