Bi Polar, depression etc are mood disorders. They effect a person's mood, and can usually be treated with meds.
ASPD, BPD, HPD are character flaws in ones personality, and are personality disorders, and there is no med to treat the trait.. In regards to BPD therapy has shown to be effective.

This all occurred within the first 2 minutes. I stopped watching at that point... I'd take everything she said with a grain of salt or no salt at all..
That's exactly what I said when I ranted on Facebook. For a moment I thought HOW THE HELL HAS MY STATUS BEEN COPIED AND PASTED HERE? xD

Yeah I was really offended by OP when they referred to it as "that", but I thought I would get told off if I say anything, since I keep getting told off every time I speak up when I'm offended :/

The reason I said that is because I was presented with yet another intense brain disorder in the hospital that I've read about and who needs that! Would you be happy if the tables were reversed and two doctors suggested you have bipolar 1, mania, hallucinations and all? Overwhelming, right?

Sorry. Now that I think about it it was a reflection on my mom who I've wondered if she has it as she has lots of fast mood swings and I live with her! Nothing to do with anyone personally here.

Yep. I'm a good writer and photographer and I'm funny. I'm also a good friend and mom.

First I think the way that it was referred to as "that" disorder came off as if it were the worst thing that a dr could dx you with so that's why people probably were offended with it (initially myself included). Would I be happy if I were dx'd with bipolar too? Well I was dx'd first with bp and then later with bpd in addition to bp. Was I upset? no because it brings me closer to knowing how I tick, what causes my issues and possibly finding the ways (even if multiple disorders) to cope, counteract or even recover from!

And that it was mentioned that no meds work for bpd is a misconception. They won't cure the BPD person of the disorder itself but if they deal with depression, anxiety and other symptoms caused by the disorder, yes, meds can help. By the same token meds don't fix a Bipolar person either, just subdue or remove the symptoms and make them manageable.
Thanks for this!
