Been really struggling with my temper for the last hour and half now.
I've tried bath, leaving kids down stairs and just take some time on my own in my bedroom.
Nothing is shifting.
I hope bedtime for them comes quicker so, they don't have to walk on egg shells.
This sucks. :'(

Whenever possible, try fast walking for 20 minutes or so. It completely dissolves anger.
Sit down and close your eyes, let your body relax. Slow your breath, then hold it a few seconds, exhale slowly. When we slow down breathing we slow the mind as well.
Thanks for this!

Listen to Israel Kamakawiwo'ole Somewhere over the rainbow a couple times. It is the only song that works for calming me down.
Thanks for this!

I've been there greyclouds,

I agree with the exercise bit. The claiming and taking your own space helps sometimes.
Meditation is extremely helpful although hard to practice, especially during times of strong emotions, but try starting with deep breathing and reminding yourself that this too shall pass.
Much love
Thanks for this!
