I thought that I was actually looking forward to being on my own NYE with the kids.

But actually this sucks!!

I've not even been invited any where, cos everyone else has there own life and family.

I actually feel pretty sad. Which is not how I want to feel on the 1st day of a new year.

Do something fun..have a sleepover, tell stories, watch a movie, draw together, play with some of the Christmas gifts that are still in packages. Make it fun and interesting for the kids and your mood will lighten just from making them happy.
Thanks for this!

Hi grey,

I hope that your new year went ok, I stayed in too with hubby and the kids we didn't invite anyone around we just played some board games and had a drink, I know my kids are older but it was fun.

Aww sorry grey. I too was alone with my kids on New Year's Eve. For me though it was pretty unsurprising. No friends to call and invite me anywhere so I didn't expect it.
