I am not sure I did the right thing.
I left this group (that was showing me how to deal with torchbearing; my issues about Anatoli) after telling them last night about my replacing my destructive crush with Siddhartha, a healthier love object, not so addictive. They thought I was just medicating again with Siddhartha---after they had advised me to focus on a more healthy object---which, for me *was* Siddhartha. They told me I was replacing one addiction with another. And they had been relentlessly tough-loving me out of my fantasy all thru holidays---and finally I got off the crush and started reading Siddhartha. This was not good enough for them. So I told them, "I don't feel supported at all right now, esp after you told me to try something and I did try it and all you can do is just criticize how I do it." And I deleted my account with them. I appreciate tough love in addictive behavior, usually, but there is tough love and there is unrelenting critical attitudes. Carol
