Just this morning I found out that my friend that drives me in the mornings... will no longer be able to do so after this week. He's been driving me to work in the mornings because he knows I have no car. He's been a blessing to me in that I haven't had to walk to the bus stop at 7:00 in the morning which takes me 1/2 hour (1.5 mi) It's not a biggie, but just a pain. I'll have to get the kids up and head out the door. Get up earlier, which if you know me, you know it's hard... I'm not a morning person. Anyway.... On the plus side, I have a benefits from a gov. subsidy for mass transit and my bus rides are free. By walking to the bus stop in the morning, I'll be gone more hours of the day but it won't cost me a dime. It's costing me $50 a week to have my friend drive me which is reasonable but still a $100 out every check. So that's how I have to look at it til I get a car. It's not the best of news but not the end of the world. plus the 3 miles a day walking can't be bad right? Just pray the weather starts to get better soon!

Anyway blah blah blah... just sharing my life.

The exercise will keep your moods in good form.

I'm gonna try starting running up... With the way things are I think I really need to..

Just some one give me an injection of energy cos sleeping my way through this is the only motivation I have right now.

.....which you're allowed to do ...and the exercise would probably do you good. I'm sure you'll be fine, but I'll be thinking of you the next time they call for snow in your area of the country.

Been there. In fact I am somewhat that way right now. I get up late on the weekend, do stuff like feed the kids, laundry and dishes, but then I lie down and sleep another hour... why? like you, motivation or lack thereof. god I need to get a car so I can get out, even if just to head to walmart to wander the aisles...

I usually walk about a mile a day, more on weekends. I could do 1.5 in about half an hour, I think.

Yeah it's not a horrible walk, it's just city walking which sucks. Doesn't take long, as fast as I walk.

Do you live in a city with talking traffic lights?

I feel for you on the getting up early part. The expression "good morning" is such an oxymoron!

You're welcome!
The scary thing is that I wasn't joking. I was in Portland, Oregon with my family a few years ago, and near our motel... Everyone's familiar with the walk/wait lights, right? Well, there were a couple that just chanted "Wait" in a flat, mechanical voice. Then, when it switched to walk, it went "Watch while you cross! Watch while you cross!" in an annoying sing-song voice. You could hear the stupid things from two blocks away!
