I was waiting for the water boiler to finish so I could pour water into my coffee cup. I thought it had finished, but it hadn't quite, so I got a little boiling water on my hand. It felt very good after a second or so. I thought I was done with this but I really, really want to harm myself.

Hey, best you write trigger if posting in here about self harm, just some others can be set off by these posts.
Try to resist on your self harm, I'm currently in a lot of pain after a relapse last night. Also scolding water!! I've been there I don't recommend it. Have you tried taking a cold bath. If the need to aint to strong that can help. No scaring, and perfectly safe. ![]() |

I'm kind of confused about the trigger thing. Is an icon not enough, should I write "trigger" in the subject too?
Thank you for the tip! I'm bipolar depressed now and very fatigued, so I wish I had a bath and not just a shower. Standing up is tiresome. ![]() |

I would do both. Normally the icon should be enough, people know what it means but if it doesn't show for some people like grey, then it's useless and the trigger in the subject would cover that situation.

sorry to hear that you accidentally self harmed yourself but your reaction to it was what I would expect from a person self harming in feeling good about it...running it under cold water often helps...
