I hope it is okay that I brought this back up. I have drowned myself in this stuff of late. It is the only thing that has given me any peace of mind. I am literally reading three books on this at once. It doesn't help all the time and isn't a "miracle cure" but it's the only thing that has helped at all.
There is a saying by Pema Chodron that people only embrace mindfulness "When the sh*****t hits the fan" so I guess that's where I am. I saw a quote in a book yesterday that I'm going to try to remember. It was by Allen Wallace. "Do not remember and love what happened yesterday for it is only memories. Do not focus on the future for it is only fantasy. The present is where the only true love abides." Something like that.

One of my favourite quotes ever...
* "I will love the light for it shows me the way, yet I will endure the darkness because it shows me the stars", - Og Mandino and "Most of the shadows of this life are caused by us standing in our own sunshine" - Ralph Waldo Emerson and "Everybody wants happiness, no one wants pain. But how can you make a rainbow, without a little rain?" - unknown
