Apart from a spat with my brother, the last week has been uneventful and peaceful. I haven't argued much, and haven't been called out for something I did or should have done. You'd think I would be happy, right?
Well, I'm waiting for the other shoe to drop. The longer things go well, the more I expect something bad to happen. There's no reason to think that, but I can't help it. I guess I rationalize it by telling myself that I'll be hit harder by bad events if I'm not prepared, but I do wish I could enjoy good periods that last longer than a couple days.

Anyway, I'm just rambling. I'm done now.

I think that happens to all of us; can't tell you whether it's a BPD thing or human nature. Whenever anything good happens I'm waiting for the bad. Whenever I feel good for a prolonged amount of time, I'm waiting with bated breath for something to happen to ruin it. When I feel good for a while I even start feeling self-conscious or a bit guilty over it. Don't know...just how I feel sometimes.

I know how you feel. I have been like that on and off. sometimes after things have gone atypically normal or uneventful. Waiting for the next disaster.

Try to enjoy the peace.

magnate - n - a person of extreme sophistication or importance. It is an old Hungarian or Polish royalty title.
