Ok I have to vent and this kind of relates to all of you that are my friends with MI issues, BPD or otherwise... but bear with me. First off the image/animation.

With all the struggling people...

First, the dude that created the GIF (and I say gif, not jif.) gets a lifetime achievement award for coming up with a stupid little graphical image format for the internet. How is that award deserving? IT'S AN IMAGE FORMAT! it's not like he cured cancer, helped the poor, or even saved a single, solitary life! How is this even noteworthy? I'm sorry but it seems tht this world, more and more is one of making giant loud noises about the smallest, most insignificant "achievements" All the while, I feel it's a miracle that each and every one of you meets the challenges of every day life as hard as it is. You all deserve much more applause and recognition for the mountains that you've climbed over just getting through your days. U_U I'm sorry but this really peeved me.

The other thing is, it seems the world wants to give authority and importance to the most insignificant people in the sense that because the creator of the format which is not a "word" but an ACRONYM, for an image format, how he happens to pronounce that acronym is the end all? he didn't create a language or even a single word. it stands for Graphic Interchange Format and it's an acronym. how one pronounces it isn't really a rule. It's just ridiculous. And I don't even really care that he said that with all the self importance. It's just the lifting up of people for the most ludicrous reasons while the heroes of the world to unnamed.

Ok done venting.
Thanks for this!

As a puter geek I've always called it a gif, not a jif, and I don't plan on changing it now. LOL!

Well, yeah. In all honesty, when I saw the whole "pronounced jif" thing I was like, "What, like the peanut butter?"

Well, I feel better now. I was horrified at the thought that I was pronouncing it wrong all this time. Thanks for taking all the authority out of this image. The PB comments are funny.
