Hi all,

I was searching for a local support group to sit and talk with other BPD sufferers but not having much luck.

I live in a Large Metropolis and have yet to find anything after doing an extensive search Google.

Anyone have any suggestions on finding a local Group?

thanks very much!

Hi ((((Davisb) for IRW groups, a friend of mind sent me a link to NAMI. They have a very vast network and groups galore. You just plug in your zip code to find meetings in your area. I also located support groups through a site called MeetUp.com.

I hope this is helpful. Wishing you all the best

Also, PC is chockful of support, care and understanding. Excellent support system here as well. What I esp love/appreciate about it is that we have members from all over the globe...so help, input, support is just a click away (24/7)

please let us know how you are doing.

Find a support Group - Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance

DBSA is also a national group that has support groups all over the place.

Dear Magnate,
I believe IRW stands for "In the real world."

Dear Davis,
Unfortunately, the only real world group that is ONLY for BPD that I know of, was meeting regularly in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. Here's more on it:
http://bpdsupportgroup.wordpress.com
I certainly wish there were more. If anyone knows of any, let us know!

Just in case you haven't yet checked it out, another hopefully good but big ONLINE mutual support group to check out, is...
"Welcome to Oz" listed among other groups at:
Online Communities - BPD Central

Take good care & hope,

- Ed
