Who is better, Sonic or Mario?
What personality disorders if any do you think they have? To me Sonic has always seemed like a narcissist! |

Mario hands down no competition. F*** Sonic. Those games are s*** in comparison. Just compare the more recent games. Sonic Generations vs Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon? Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon I would argue is one of the best games developed for the 3ds thus far with an interesting plot line and stunning graphics. Sonic Generations is just a boring racing game. Plus, 9/10 Mario games are outstanding (the recent Mario parties for wii being the exceptions).
I'm not sure about any personality disorders though. I don't know if Mario's character is ever developed enough. Sonic is definitely narcissistic but I'm not sure he'a NPD. |

Sonic is more fun . Hands down more interesting environments and game mechanics are way more unique and interesting.
I dont' typically analyze game character personalities. Sorry I dont' have an answer for that question

I don't have an answer as to which is better, but they both seem to be hoarders. Sonic carrying around all those coins that pop outta nowhere if you hit a bad guy, and Mario always steals the flag at the end of a run, lol.

As for the other question... Mario's a pretty flat character where personality is concerned, and Sonic... I wouldn't say he has a personality disorder so much as an identity crisis. Seems to have forgotten a couple times that he's an anthropomorphic animal.

i'll take Legend of Zelda any day, though. i'm not too big on either Sonic or Mario. i grew up with Mario, not so much Sonic. |

my husband is really into a lot of YouTube channels that go into depth on this kind of stuff or make funny shorts about it. also, as a fanfiction writer (though i haven't written anything in years), i think about this kind of stuff just for the hell of it.

I have to agree with DreamAddiction there. I'm a fanfiction writer too, after all. In fact, the first story I ever wrote was an adaption of Super Mario World several years ago. I portrayed Mario as a love-struck daydreamer, with the energy and focus of someone with ADHD. Make of that what you will.
Sonic has only been a recent (within the last 4 years) favorite of mine though. The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past was the first video game I ever completed, and I loved the series for almost a decade after. As for Sonic Generations Vs Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon, I've played both, and liked both. I object to Sonic Generations being dubbed a "boring racing game" however. I poured over 200 hours into that game, and got to be one of the best players worldwide! Useless trivia: This same girl also likes Sim City and similar games.

Sonic,definitely. The graphics are cool. The coins, the time clock, everything about it is designed for a great gaming experience. I love sonic. I have even been known to watch sonic cartoons w/ the kids on Saturday mornings. Sonic is like me, he appears to be the tough guy but deep down in side he is just not understood.
What is the deal w/ Mario and Luigi they are always hunting for the princess. Give me a break. Any one remember the Mario Saturday cartoon show. It had Cindi Lauper and that wrestler dude on it. Wow I better be quiet. I am showing my age. |
