I have both bipolar 2 and BPD. Does anyone else have a long term delusion? I have had one for many years (5). I know it's not real but it keeps happening. I have a delusion that I am on a reality show with famous stars (Justin Timberlake, his wife, security guards, their friends and his mom)- loved JT since teenager, and that they are on the show with me. Its not a day dream cause it happens when I am walking home or with people. They go where I go and they talk to me. I sometimes talk back in my head and when I am alone. I laugh sometime or smile and my mom always asks me "what's so funny?" I don’t know if it is because of my Borderline personality disorder, the Bipolar or both. I have had this for a long time. We have conversations and sometimes they are supportive, and when I do something I believe is wrong, like large anger blow ups, they scold me.....

Sounds stupid, but have you ever seen Phoebe in Wonderland? She has the same thing except it was with Alice in Wonderland. Although hers was a little different I believe. Apparently she had a type of tourette syndrome <-- ( ) I personally don't have a long term delusion although I occasionally do hear or see things that aren't there and get paranoid that something or someone is following me to the point where I feel like I'm going to have a heart attack out of fear. I recommend you talk to a doctor or someone about it. Maybe even bring it up to your mom.
Sincerely,
Teen with a brother that had Bipolar and uncle with BPD
Thanks for this!

Sounds unrelated to bpd or bipolar. Have you been tested for Schizophrenia? I know of dissoiciation with people who have bpd but the delusions seem more related to soemthing like schizophrenia, especially with such long term effects.

See-the thing is, I know that the delusions aren't reality. But I cant stop them. Its not a daydream. Which is why I find it complex. When I see them online I just think they are going to an event and that I live in their house and that they will come back after the event to the house. I can see what color they are wearing and everything.

Have a similar issue to yours!
Didn't realise it was a Delusion.its like I Go into another world but I experience it as real (I know I isn't!) I only snap of it when I realise time has passed in the real world or I start laughing/acting out in real life or change my facial expression. Cant help but slip in to it, and it's like it's involuntary and incontrollable. Does this sound similar?

I also have blanks in my memory throughout the day where I'm detatched from the world, I can only describe it as dissociation.
