I didn't know this forum was here until someone kindly told me after answering my post on the Depression site.
What I hate most is the emptiness, the not being attached to something. I just feel like a flotsam and jetsam being thrown around wildly by the wind and the waves. Like I have no control. One minute I'm happy and satisfied, the next I'm near tears with despair. I feel like my life has no purpose and that I am worthless. I am just starting the "Commitment" phase of the DBT program. Sure hope it helps. Wondering how others found it. |

I've not done any DBT but I can really relate to the emptiness you said about.and the complete lack of control of my mood. It's so hard sometimes!

Welcome, Jean.
I don't think very many of us have had the opportunity to try DBT (it's not available everywhere). I personally had to travel across the country to get some, but it wasn't enough and I got no follow-up when I got back so, I dunno. Keep us posted. |
