 SO I went to the hospital recently and they said I was RO BPD. I think that's stupid because I'm 17 and I have BP anyways. Why bother writing it down under Axis II. MY T says I do match the criteria right now, but I don't think it's reasonable. Doesn't every 17 year old?! I think I don't have social problems and I'm very good in social situations. I'm just angry that is all...

Were u ever diagnosed BP? If you are BP it will come out and be undeniable. It's difficult to diagnose right off the bat. I'm really surprised they diagnosed u any thing at 17. Don't worry, what ever you are will eventually be more obvious.

I know BPD is probably a pretty scary Dx to have thrown out there, especially at your age.
My advice is continue with therapy as long as it's proving effective, and get re-evaluated as an adult. Best of luck. |
