So after all my bad mom posts last night Robbie turned to me and said "you are the best mommy I could ever have". He then went back to playing his video game. Maybe I am doing better then I thought.

Aww warms my heart to read this; those moments are worth all that we must otherwise endure. It doesn't pay to be so hard on ourselves

When they say that, which is very often from my three, I cringe. Guilt. I know I am a good mom, I get "crabby" as they say, and distant sometimes, but I believe I am doing alright despite all of the mental illness. My husband regularly reassures me that I am a wonderful mother, better than most actually and I take that seriously. We are doing alright. We are doing the best we can with what we have and what we know. We are working to be better and that is amazing and so good for them babies. You are doing wonderfully if that child says you are. <3 much love. Good for you dear. Keep it up.

Of course you are! I love it when kids say stuff like that to us. Aren't they awesome!? I'm sure you are an awesome mommy too.
Thanks for this!
