We are getting ready to go to our church Christmas party. I can already feel my anxiety level go up. Robbie plays the Innkeeper for the Nativity and he is excited.

I'm sorry you're so anxious. Is there anything you can do to relieve that anxiety? I am expected at a holiday party myself and I'm very anxious about it. My T was telling me that I should envision and expose myself in my mind to the things that cause me anxiety. For example if I say the wrong thing or someone doesn't like me. Then feel that anxiety and uncomfortableness, familiarize myself with it. Then it will be easier to handle the day of.

The anxiety came from too many people, too much noise and disorganization. We left early as I was shaking. We have a brunch to go to tomorrow and I am fine with it, maybe it is because the brunch is at a restaurant.

Take care and enjoy when you can!!! And it is okay to show up at an event and not stay the whole time. Think its more important to make the effort and go there. Hope things turn out well for you..

The brunch was awesome. I am on our condo board and so it was the condo board, spouses and Robbie. After we had to take Robbie for blood work, that was not quite so fun.

I hate the holidays and all the expectations to socialize. Jan 2 can't get here fast enough for me. Wish I could just sleep for the next month.
