I was supposed to see a new therapist today. Trouble is, he's a lot further away than I thought. and on top of that, I got to spend 4+ hours in the ER with my daughter (who is fine thankfully) and didn't get home until 3AM.
I am dragging my happy *** down to the county mental health clinic tomorrow in an attempt to try and get them to see me. You need medicade to be seen there, and I have it but it's my secondary not my primary insurance. So they would need to get a refusal of service from my primary PPO before billing medicade, and they don't wanna. The man I talked to on the phone there with a few months ago as good as told me they don't have time for me, and not to bother. but I don't care anymore, I have to try. I can't find anything in my area covered by my primary insurance.
Wish me luck guys.
Thanks for this!

I went down there at 6:30 in the morning and was still the 5th person in line lol.
There's good news and bad news.
The bad news is that I'm going to have to drop my primary health insurance. Right now I have a Private insurance as my primary, and Medicade through the state as a secondary due to physical disability. Dropping my primary insurance will mean I will be put on the HMO version of Medicade. Which means I will no longer be able to see the primary care doctor I trust, or the OBGYN who delievered both of my children.
The good news is, I do not have to do the intake process again. I now have a doctor over at the county mental health phasility and can begin the process of getting back into Medicade funded DBT. and I'm working out on a stationary bike daily so I can do some physical good for myself as well. Having a plan of action to change things helps take the bad thoughts away amensly.

SO my private insurance is trying to refuse to drop me until June (during open enrollment) because my Medicade wasn't activated in the last 30 days. It's been active much longer! They're trying to say some nonsense about me not having health insurance if they drop me. It's like hello dipshits, I'm legally blind! Medicade isn't dropping me!
Had to contact my step dad (person I have the private insurance through) and he's calling back tomorrow to fight it.
I must admit, I'm starting to feel quite discouraged.
Will update once my step dad speeks with them again.
As for finding a doctor I like with HMO Medicade, I'm not too worried about that. A lot of people take it here in CA. I just hate change which is why I had it set up the way I did.
Thanks for this!
