I am very empathetic to other people's feelings most of the time, when I'm not blinded by my own.

I am a GREAT father.... unfortunately, my daughters are nearly grown. So, the only thing I have ever done well in life just doesn't matter anymore. Now I am truly useless.

It does matter, gigantically. By being a great father, you've greatly increased their chances of being successful and happy, not just now but throughout life, and it will also influence how they treat their own families in the future. That is a gigantic accomplishment that should not be put down or ignored just because they are older.

I'm sure sense you were a good father, your daughters have grown-up to be good, descent human beings. Because you were a good father, it has shaped your daughters into the people they are today. This DOES matter, it matters everyday.

Today I did not kill anyone, that's two days in a row

I was calm and understanding today when our couples counselling had to be postponed due to illness. We were having a hard time getting a babysitter so it all worked out for the best.

It was a pumpkin pecan pie with homemade whip cream, pecan brittle, and cinnamon caramel drizzled on top.

You lost me at pumpkin, not a fan but if you omit the pumpkin I would be all over a pecan pie.

There are days when I cannot stand people and it takes everything in me not to hurt someone. I am not a violent person but some days....
