As life goes, we all have struggles and many of us here really have a hard time with many challenges daily. I know that all too well and I can relate and empathize with every single one of you. But just as I say that I also know that even as we struggle, there are always people that have what some would say is "worse than us".

I was given the awakening message this morning myself on the radio when I came to find out that a 17 yr old boy, Sam Berns, died just last Friday. He suffered from a disease called Progeria, which makes people age very quickly. An extremely rare disease. The remarkable thing about his story is that Sam too, faced challenges in life and in many ways unimaginable to most of us. But he didn't let it stop him and he didn't feel bad about his life, in fact he is quoted saying "I don't want anyone to feel bad for me."

I listened as he spoke about his perspective on life. I listened to this 17 yr old boy talking like a wise old man, making me feel like a whiner, and cynic and having had even up to know a relatively long life in comparison, I felt very small.

I invite you all to look at Sam's life and I know it won't make your life all hunky dory and won't remove any bad stuff, challenges and obstacles you face but maybe, like me, you too will find the determination to break through the walls and, NEVER GIVE UP, ALWAYS LOOK FORWARD AND HAVE HOPE FOR THE FUTURE, for as Sam said, "there is always room for hope."

hope this brings inspiration to you today, and God bless.
