Hi all,

Wondering if anyone knows of some good movies that deal with borderline or characters that you find relate to some of the aspects.

There's a few I know of that are allegedly about BPD, unfortunately a lot are super negative or not very accurate. Any suggestions would be swell.

White Oleander (2002)
Girl, Interrupted (1999)
Single White Female (1992)
American Psycho (2000)
Prozac Nation (2001)
Monster (2003)
Gia (1998)
Betty Blue (1986)
Fatal Attraction (1987)

I would love to find some movies or docu that portray BPD in a positive light.

I really liked Girl, Interrupted but not because of it's accuracy. I just enjoy Winona and Angelina in general.

A positive view point would be incredible!

I loved girl, interrupted... The movie was so good. I read the book after and really connected with it.

Silver Linings Playbook deals with bipolar directly in the lead male, but I would argue that the lead female character shows a lot of BPD traits, and she talks about medications that she's been on. I related to that movie A LOT.

I also liked Girl, Interrupted.

There's a list on Wikipedia, but I don't know how accurate it is.

I feel none of the ones I've seen are accurate.

I don't like watching films about mental health issues anyway I find them cringeworthy a lot of the time.

I guess BPD is too varied a disorder to be betrayed in a medium like film but this is just my opinion and I don't care to debate it.
Thanks for this!

Almost any depiction of mental illness on tv, movies or anything is grossly misrepresented. I never expect any of them to be very accurate as they are for entertainment and entertainment in Hollywood = shock value.
