I've been hospitalized 9 times and just after this recent time they finally tell me I've this crap! WTH? Its all in charts and they are just now telling me I have this and I had this? I'm so lost. I'm sad, I'm angry and so confused. My friends don't understand and my or what used to be my biggest supporter my mom doesn't even try to understand and is making it all worse by putting me down and hurting me with her words. I don't know what to do..........

I'm sorry you're having such a hard time at the moment.

What kind of help are you getting at the moment?

It is tough when people don't understand. Could you try showing them some information about BPD?

A good book for your family would be 'Loving someone with borderline personality disorder' by Sheri Manning.

Are you getting any therapy?

Hi sorry you feel so bad right now Just know, with time and knowledge, we can get through this! I am sorry you don't have much support around you. I think it's a good idea to start therapy if you haven't already.

All the best

Am sorry you are in pain and needing support. I also have been through multiple hospitalizations over the years and finally got the BPD dx....I think it has changed my life finally knowing where I fit.....Please know that a CBT therapist can help you cope with these feelings and thoughts...know that this will pass too...you are among people who will support you and care about you here... think you will find as you travel this new road and show others how you are coping better, they will come around and support you more, but continue to fight every day...sending positive thoughts to you today....take care now

I find your situation very sad. I wasn't diagnosed for 30 long years! Apparently I was just an ''attention seeker'' or a ''time waster'' despite hospital admissions. I got officially diagnosed BPD 3 years ago but I've chosen not to tell anyone, not family or friends (not that I have friends) - keep them all at arms length. They'd use it against me if they knew. They just think I get depressed. I don't advise you do this as it's a very lonely existence. HUGZZ. x
