Hello - I take lamotrigine to stabalize my mood but I need an anxiety medication along with it. I've tried Lexapro and Zoloft and both had too many bad side effects. Does anyone have success with one in particular? I have horrible anxiety which turns into paranoia.

I've been on Neurotin for a while which helps with the anxiety. Strangely enough, anti-psychotics work as well but I have bad side effects from them. You need to discuss this with your pdoc, especially since most meds can be too sedating in combination.

Originally celexa helped with my anxiety, then stopped. I've been on ativan for a few months now, and it's not really working well anymore either.

You're already taking Ativan. Have you discussed the posibility of raising that. Klolopin works for me.

I'm still going through trials with this, most recently I've been on 150mg of zoloft and 1mg of risperidone which is so far the quickest I've noticed a change so that's what's worked for me. My anxiety is still out of control tho so my doctor started me on wellbutrin today as well as the other two so well see how that goes.
