And I have found it! I'm praying this post touches some of you who are struggling and I'm here to say, there is life after BPD. After receiving my diagnosis, I had a hard time battling the emotions in my head that plagued me most of my life. I self-harmed, I was hypervigilant, and I truly felt I had no way forward.

I met a man who inspired me to move forward with my life and who helped me to have courage to pursue recovery. I soon found myself employed and working toward moving out of my mom's house, and basically get my sh** and my emotions together.

It wasn't until I found faith that I truly started making the biggest strides (not saying you have to, just my own experience). I now have bad days where my BPD still effects me rather than having only occasional good days where it doesn't.

I am living proof you can find a happy, fulfilling life even with your diagnosis. I now live with my boyfriend, am closer with my family than ever, and am working toward MY goals instead of floating in chaos. This is possible for anyone. It takes work, faith in yourself, and above all- hope. Hope for a future, hope for a better tomorrow, and hope for brighter days ahead. You all can do it.

Just wanted to share.

Yr post is inspiring. I have overcome alot of my bpd thru dbt therapy. My emotions no longer rule my life. When I have a bad day I know it will pass. I'm so glad to hear you are doing so well! It's a good feeling to know we don't have to suffer. I'm glad to know I'm not alone. Thank you.
