Most people in general don't care! Why should they? It sucks because they tell you to take this drug and do that therapy and you'll be better. They tell you only you can make yourself better but it's ****ing impossible when you have a mental illness(always more than one involved) and if you have no support and your brain keeps telling you nothing is wrong, but the other side of your brain is telling you you're f***ed up. How can you change your ****ing personality. That's just the professionals way of saying your behaviour does't belong in society. You have to change because everything you done your whole life is wrong but just Accept it! Are they the ones who have spent their lives having others look at you like your from another planet? - NO Are they the ones not being able to have a good job? NO Are they the ones that are so confused that you don't want to do anything because you don't even know if it's right or wrong anymore? WTF? Sorry...just losing it.

I don't have BPD, but I seriously struggle with this. I totally appreciate this rant! Remember, they're there to help you, not judge you. I know it feels like you're being judged and told to just be a different person, but I strongly believe they're just doing their job: trying to help you be a healthier person and improving what's already there!

Stay safe.

God, I relate to that so hard. >.< I get angry about this stuff, from time to time, as well.

((((Sorcerer 666))))

I'm sorry that you're feeling so frustrated and misunderstood in society, especially by the emotional health professionals. It can be so frustrating at times. I hear you!

Gentle hugs to you ~ I hope that your day has improved a little. Take care!

I feel the same way. And this is weird, but I've agreed with so many of the things you've written lately that I just now thought "maybe I'm actually Sorcerer 666 but I just don't realize that I am." Anyway, you're not alone in feeling like that!

Thank you for your comment but i sure don't wish the thought of anyone suffering like me upon anybody. I guess all those that suffer do so in some ways the same

I greatly identify with what you've written and i hope that helps you to feel less alone in your struggles. The sad reality is that no one can fully understand what we're going through - they just need a bit of patience and compassion in supporting and/or helping us. Some professionals are sorely lacking in either this or expertise and many of them, both. Oftentimes they forget they chose to be in their position while we did not. But for many the options of finding a doctor they can both trust and be honest with, are slim. You can only keep seeking, trying and hoping that you get what you need sooner rather than later. A lot of us are in the same boat so at least we can look out for each other

Does anyone find that they are judged by the health care system specifically because of this disorder?

I hear there's not a lot of compassion out there for BPD

I've heard the same thing, but I don't have any experience with being judged because of the BPD.

I so believe this. Felt like I was just another number.
