Is severe spending issues a symptom of bpd?
Sometimes I buy so much stuff, i buy expensive stuff and stupid stuff I don't even need. I like buying stationery, jewellery, storage boxes, toiletries And cleaning products, make up, shoes, any sort of boxes and kitchen accessories. I bought pretty ring binders and lever arch files today. They weren't that expensive but it have no use or need for them whatsoever

I believe impulsive behavior is and buying is impulsive behavior.........my sister was borderline and she had a massive spending habit. she took up the whole house and a storage unit.she owned everything from every informercial, bought from all the shopping networks and would buy something in every color it came it. it was hell cleaning it all out after she died. half the stuff was still in its original boxes and with its tags on it......

Quote:
"4) Impulsivity in at least two areas that are potentially self-damaging (e.g., spending, sex, substance abuse, reckless driving, binge eating)." From Wikipedia: "Impulsive behavior is common, including: substance or alcohol abuse, eating disorders, unprotected sex or indiscriminate sex with multiple partners, reckless spending and reckless driving" |

The only one I do now is the spending.
Hmm.. I don't know if it's a problem or if it's just me.
