Hey guys, I contacted a psychologist, and I'll be starting a psyche evaluation on the 2nd of September. He said he is going to evaluate me for a whole slew of things, including but not limited to BPD. I don't really know what I want to come of this. On one hand, it would be nice to have some sort of an explanation of why I am so out of control sometimes, on the other hand, I don't want the stigma attached to me, especially considering I'll be working in the medical field, where the stigma is especially harsh. I'll keep you all posted on the results.

Again I feel quite offended by the ignorance and lack of tact

That's great that you have an appointment with a pdoc. I always (almost always) feel better after I visit my psychiatrist.

No doubt, part of the reason I completely discounted BPD as something I could possibly have was because "how" we were taught about it in mental health. The BPD patients were painted to be liars, manipulators, and just downright mean if you ask me. When it all started coming together for me, I realized how they look at the disorder is completely different than how it is for the suffers. But yes, the stigma is there, and I don't expect anyone can really understand what is it like, unless they have it or traits of it. Even T's might have a vague understanding, but it still wouldn't be the same. Thank you all for the support!

Testing seemed to indicate Primary Dx's of Borderline, Anxiety, and Depressive disorder, passive/aggressive tendencies, mistrust of others, and traits of narcissism and antisocial personality disorders, although I have no official Dx until he writes his report. We meet next Monday at noon again.

I'm sorry to hear that. I teared up in the office as well, but didn't have a blow up or anything. Therapy makes me cry sometimes
