Anyone else been on this? Did it do anything for you?

I was reading something about it not being suitable for BPD but I have to say my time on it was probably the most stable I've been.

So now I'm having a bit of a moment and wondering what the heck is wrong with me lol

Yeah, I started lactating and huge weight gain (I still haven't managed to shift the weight.) so I had to stop it.

Like, f!@# why must the drugs that work make other things worse?

I was misdiagnosed with psychosis NOS for a time - and I was given risperidal (risperidone).

At first I slept like crazy. I gained 60 pounds in four months and I had a tremendous increase in appetite and laziness. I couldn't socialize and felt even more anxious and when I was put in stressful situations. I did much worse because I felt like I was mentally blocked from being myself. I had very painful nipples too which concerned me for a time.

Ultimately, if you are given it by a psychiatrist who you feel you can trust - then it is worth trying - but I suggest small doses and staying on small doses unless absolutely necessary.

When I went off risperdal - I was put on seroquel - and it was MUCH better, for me. However, now that I am off meds altogether - I am feeling much better despite having intense emotions from out of nowhere. I suppose I've been self-medicating for years - trying to suppress the emotions - and now that I am off of them - I am starting to feel them.

Thanks,
HD
