Hi, I usually hangout at the psychotherapy forum.. I have a question regarding meds. I have bpd along with PTSD and MDD. I finding one of the most bothersome symptoms of the bpd is the mood swings, that are happening so quickly and so often these days. I asked t about meds for that, and he just encouraged me to go back on anti-depressants.
I don't have a pdoc or even a gp right now.. But I am thinking that finding one because I need something to help these mood swings.. Are there specific meds rx for patients with bpd to specifically control mood?

I'm taking Saphris right now for a mood stabilizer and it seems to be doing a good job. I have taken Abilify in the past and had good results but I quit taking it and then went back on it and it didn't work the second time.

I think that there would be meds available to help with your mood regulation.
It would be worthwhile seeing your dr about this. Best wishes. |
