I have just "graduated" from DBT! Sixteen months, four modules & four therapists later and I feel great! I am better than I can remember being since I was a child. It was hard going and I felt like it wasn't helping me more than a few times, but something shifted in me and I have learned so much. So many skills that I am using and giving myself a better quality of like.

And it's not over. I get to keep seeing my personal therapist for a while. They all have been so great. I just can't say enough good things about the therapists and the program.

Please do take it if you are so lucky as to have it offered to you. And stay with it. It will help you.

What do you think are a couple of the skills that have helped you the most?

Really good to hear that you're doing better.

Congratulations Jean!! Keep on using those skills you learned. I am currently trying to get into a DBT program myself.

Thanks to everyone for your very kind words. I think the skills I am most helped by are "Riding the Emotion Wave" & Acceptance.

To everyone, do accept if you are offered DBT.

Congrats Jean! I've been working with a therapist and have a couple books on DBT. I may go to the classes once things clear up. But good on you!
