He was always so suspicious of the DBT treatment. He stated that it was nothing new just arranged differently. I wish I had not wasted my $$$$. I am now on to EMDR and lobotomies hoping when they do the surgeries I will come out better. The only treatment left for me. Part of brain gone trouble solved.

Hello dancinglady: I'm so sorry this is what your circumstances have come to. I do hope that EMDR can be of sufficient help that you will not need to proceed on to lobotomy. I would have to admit I didn't even realize this was still practiced...

Thanks for this!

This procedure is still in practice ??

Everyone reponses differently to various therapies..
Please keep us posted on the EMDR.
Take care..

I did prolonged exposure trauma therapy as well as DBT. I have a few months left and have found it really helpful, my therapist is great so I'm really lucky. I didn't know they still did brain surgeries? Is this for BPD? I find that really concerning. No-one really fully understands the brain enough to guarantee no bad side effects.
