My amazing supportive boyfriend is going out with the boys for an annual event in our area. For most it's not a big deal, but for me it's like he is leaving me for bigger better things. He is LEAVING me. I'm new to these breathing techniques so they aren't working yet. He is doing nothing wrong but I feel like it's the end of my world. I hate this feeling. I feel stupid, attention seeking, and selfish. He is so wonderful to me. I think what I'm asking is if anyone ever feels like this, and what they did to change their thought patterns. He deserves this. He works hard and god knows he puts up with me

I think the fact that you acknowledge that you are being irrational is a huge step. Most don't realize when they are acting out. What kind of therapies are you trying to manage your thinking processes? Have you heard of DBT? I hear that it has a great success rate as far as working with BPD. You can probably find information about it in the forums. I unfortunately dont know much about it. But seriously, kudos to you for being able to recognize. That is the first step to helping yourself. Good luck!

I see a therapist once a week and am on a number of drugs. I managed to smile and say good luck when he left this morning. It was hard. Now I have to spend the day stewing over everything that is probably not happening. I feel so abandoned, and left out. I hate this, but thanks for the kudos chaoticInsanity!
